I'll do it MY WAY!!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who believes that if you fill your retirement with busyness, it's not right! WAIT --- I get it -- it's your retirement, and you can do whatever makes you happy, but why would you want to be filling the days with running around and not have time for spontaneous stuff? Nope --- I will not let that happen to me.

And I stand corrected, the movie with the book communication is called Interstellar! Thanks for the correction!

Speaking of free time, I sometimes have to double-check my calendar to make ...

Washing the house! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

It's good to hear from all of you, and I hear you about not knowing what the spring/summer will bring for those who are lacking in moisture this winter. I grew up in the prairies in Saskatchewan, and that winter snow was essential for growing crops! Fingers crossed that any further snow that wishes to fall will fall in your area, not ours! I'm done with shoveling!

Although the anal part of me was out with a shovel yesterday, tidying up parts of the driveway. I know -- I must look crazy, but I hate when the snow ...

Who let the dogs out? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Good grief -- I don't think I'm going to have issues completing my 2026 Conquerer goal. Wait -- I didn't say that out loud—I don't want to jinx myself. But it's super easy to fit 10K a day into my schedule. It's the extra 2K per day that I scheduled last year that was challenging. But then I have vacations, and work days, and I won't always be able to get in that many steps.

I chuckle because yesterday, I wasn't sure I was going to make it. I didn't really want ...

OWN it NOW!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

While I might be inspiring you, you are inspiring me, too! I hear your words of encouragement in my head when I want to quit. And then I think about how fun it will be to share the finish with you the next day, which keeps me going.

I think starting the blog, almost TWENTY years ago, was a very good thing. They say journaling is therapeutic, and I believe it. It just took me a bit of time to get myself organized so that I knew how to deal with the physical and mental mess around me!

But if ...

My wish came true! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

How many times have I lamented that I need just one more day? A few I know. Well, guess what? I just got one more day!!

I had something planned for today, and it got postponed until next week. So that gives me one more day to prep for the two classes and the UFO Club on the weekend. YAHOO!!!!!!

I will warn you that this blog might be a bit off-putting to some. It's filled with great joy, much happiness, more energy than you probably need (It's only five AM), so I apologize. Heck no -- I won ...

If you're going to do something, do it WELL! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Haven't we heard that many times? Well, that situation came up several times yesterday, and I should KNOW BETTER.

I'm working on a project that isn't hard, but it involves MANY steps, and I've had to get super creative to make it work. I'm sure there's a better way, but this is the way that works for me. When I completed the first part of the project yesterday, I was happy, but I was a bit disappointed that I had tried to economize on the process, and it wasn't quite what I envisioned ...

A lesson in learning!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

We had the soup for lunch -- it was excellent, although I watered it down a wee bit too much. I have already given DH my grocery list for today, and I've asked for more squash! I see someone sent me a recipe. I might become a soup maker as I love soup for lunch!

DH and I finally went out to dinner on our own last night. Hmmm -- I miss those date nights alone and will have to get back to that. I think KU will have to stay home as it's one of the few times we ...
